People Must Lift Their Eyes To G-D

The only place for us to truly rely on now is God in heaven. He is not disconnected from us at any time. He is involved in our lives – even when He seems to be hiding Himself.

The quote, “There are no atheists in foxholes,” perhaps applies more today than at any time in our lifetime. Often, people until recently have looked towards their bank accounts and toward strong leaders for guidance. Coronavirus has brought everybody in the world down to one category – human beings. We are all the same in the eyes of God. God has been running the world since the beginning of time – and beforehand too – and continues to this day.

When life seems so haphazard, it is natural to ask, “Where is God?” That is a legitimate question. The answer is that God is here as He always has been, no matter if we recognize it or not. But, since God does indeed allow for free will, He manages the world in a way that allows us to still choose to deny His existence. But, as in the past, when there are calamities, people who chose to be open to change allowed the facts to shift their opinions and did not allow their previous biases to dominate their minds. It’s time we open our minds and hearts to God.
