It has been reported that Prime Minister Netanyahu has spoken with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) twice in the past few weeks on issues concerning normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The two are expected to meet at the UAE’s climate conference where it will be Netanyahu’s first trip to the UAE since the signing of the Abraham Accords three years ago.

An official government press release states: “Prime Minister Netanyahu received from Ambassador Al Khaja a letter from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum officially inviting him to participate in the UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai this November.”

The Prime Minister is expected to engage MBS on normalization when at the conference. While it may see that Israel-Saudi normalization is a done deal – there are still a lot of hurdles to get past. The most controversial is Judea and Samaria as well as Jerusalem.
