Yet, the very resounding election of Donald Trump, along with a Republican victory in the Senate and House of Representatives, is already sending major shockwaves across the Middle East. Donald Trump will not necessarily bomb Iran. But he will most certainly bankrupt them, as Mike Huckabee says. That scares the living daylights out of Iran also. There is very little doubt about this.
Donald Trump does not believe that the way to deal with terrorists is with negotiation. That is stage two, The first stage is to scare the living daylights out of the terrorists. Sometimes, it is not even necessary to use force. Donald Trump displayed excellent agility in his first term in negotiating with the bad actors. North Korea went silent from the time that Donald Trump became President. Who knows what kind of financial incentives he gave them. Whatever it was, it has worked for at least eight years. Putin waited to be aggressive until Donald Trump left the White House.
Rest assured, the war in Ukraine will end shortly. Ukraine will probably be forced into submission on some level and so will Vladimir Putin. But Donald Trump will continue to make sure that the world economies are not disrupted by the aggression of tyrants and will make sure that America is not paying the lion’s share of the cost of NATO in order to ensure the peace in Europe and the West.
Most people did not vote for Donald Trump for his foreign policy credentials. But one could argue that that is his strongest suit. Rehabilitating the economy and getting the border under control are certainly the primary goals of his administration. But we must never forget that foreign rumblings in regions like Ukraine and the Middle East sometimes grow into much greater battles that end up affecting the lives of everyone in the West. But if America stays strong and makes sure to enforce tough diplomacy with crippling economic sanctions and the willingness to use force, peace will be ensured in the world.
Donald Trump will probably deserve the Nobel Peace Prize in the year 2025 or 2026 for ending the battle in the Ukraine and bringing Iran to its knees along with the State of Israel.
