Jewish Students Don’t Feel Safe Anymore
We wish these testimonies weren’t true. But they are. And they are happening constantly. College campuses everywhere have made Jewish students feel unsafe and scared. What’s terrifying is not only what has happened to these Jews but the responses of the campus faculty and administrators. The staff members don’t care, to say it simply. They shrug off the horrific antisemitism that students on their campuses have experienced. They don’t help them. Even the police are not helping them! Everyone needs to be aware of what’s going on. How can this be?
How can this be happening in America in 2024? You would think what’s happening at these colleges is not from the 21st century. But you would be mistaken. Antisemitism is very much alive. It’s really shocking, to say the least.
The Jewish students here are brave for speaking up and trying to make a difference. They publicly opened up about their experiences. That’s not easy to do. These young men and women are courageous.
Let’s hope that something changes and that it changes soon. This is a major problem that must be dealt with.
