Israel got a reminder of just how dangerous it is to have an ISIS run regime in Syria. A resident of Kafr Qassem swore allegiance to ISIS and tried to reach them through a third country, while distributing their content in the media. He will be indicted today for the charges attributed to him.
An indictment will be filed today (Thursday) against Adam Sarsour, 28, a resident of Kafr Qassem, after he swore allegiance to ISIS, distributed content from the organization, and twice tried to reach and join the organization in Syria after landing in Turkey.
According to the findings of the Shin Bet investigation and the Sharon Intelligence Unit, Sarsour consumed terrorist content affiliated with ISIS on social media, made contact with a terrorist operative of the organization, and declared his loyalty to ISIS while considering himself a member of it.
During his arrest, items related to the organization were seized from him, and he also distributed support materials to a group of people in Kafr Qassem. In addition, he twice tried to fly to Turkey with the aim of reaching Syrian territory from there and joining the organization’s fighters, but without success.
