The Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) recently unveiled its newest defense system – the Scorpius family of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. The Scorpius is the first electronic warfare (EW) system in the world that is able to simultaneously target “multiple threats, across frequencies and in different directions.”

The Scorpius is developed on the basis of Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology, “which is provides a breakthrough in EW performance – enabling a new generation of electronic warfare capabilities.”

While the Iron Dome has been critical, the Scorpius is key to moving forward after Hamas appeared to have cracked the Iron Dome, by sending large amounts of rockets at once. In the coming war with Iran, both Hamas and Hezbollah will fire large quantities of rockets and missiles at once – Scorpius appears to be the key to edging them out.
