Israel may not be a perfect country. There are flaws. After all, what country doesn’t have flaws? But there are certain moments that make it clear what type of country it is. It is a country that is embedded with love and kindness. It is a country that realizes the entire nation is one family. The Jewish people care about each other. It doesn’t matter whether or not this man knew the soldier personally. He wanted to give her free food for everything she does for the Jewish people.
It may seem like a small story, but it is indicative of the type of kindness that happens amongst the Jewish people as a whole.
Israelis may have differences of opinions. They may sometimes argue and fight. But at the end of the day, family is family. And at the end of the day, when something happens, they will all be there for each other. Because that’s what being part of the Jewish people is all about. And it is truly a special thing to be a part of the nation of Israel.
