Donald Trump did not win the election because of Joe Biden or Tim Walz or because of racism, sexism, or cultural resentment. He did not win for one main reason – but for two reasons. Kamala Harris ran a very empty-content campaign focused on satisfying radical progressives. Meanwhile, Donald Trump convinced enough of the electorate that he would take care of the problems that matter to them most – the economy and the border.
Donald Trump convinced people that he would bring change. Kamala Harris convinced very few people that she would bring change from Biden policies.
Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris by more than he beat Hillary Clinton. But it wasn’t just Donald Trump that won this time. The entire Republican Party swept to victories in most of the Senate races and many of the House races. This is due to too many independent and centrist voters simply not buying the empty Democrat campaign.
In the past, most parties realized that the candidate was the key problem. When John McCain lost, nearly everyone on the Republican side said that the candidate was not a strong candidate. Much of the media today is still in shock as they had convinced themselves that it was truly a close election, when in truth, it wasn’t very close.
Donald Trump won by 2-3% in nearly every battleground State. That is close, but not razor thin as it was in 2016. Enough people were willing to overlook Donald Trump’s many problematic character issues. The alternative was a woke Leftist that was too extreme. It wasn’t just Kamala Harris, but the main issue is that the Democrat Party has lost its ability to truly connect with the masses. Barack Obama was the last Democrat Presidential candidate to truly connect with the US voters. They need to regroup and get back to normal policies or else the Republicans will hold on for more than the next four years.
