Former Hostage Returning to IDF Service
There are no words for how incredible this is. After what Edan Alexander went through, it would be understandable to not return to serve in the IDF. But he is. And a story like this one is how you know the Jewish people are a G-dly people who will never be eradicated from this world. G-d instilled His nation with unbelievable and unique qualities. This inner desire that Edan and others have to want to fight and protect the Jewish people and to be united is inspiring.
As a former hostage, Edan saw an evil that none of us should ever know of. He can understand better than most other people the stark contrast between true evil and true good. And he knows that fighting for Israel and protecting G-d’s people is that very choice to defend that which is good in this world.
Hamas and all of Israel’s enemies have tried to bring the Jewish people down. They have tried to destroy us. They have tried to humiliate us. Yet, here we are—strong, united, encouraged, and proud to serve G-d. Here we are with our unwavering desire to live proudly in our homeland as G-d’s nation. We will win. It might take some more time, and the road might have some more bumps along the way. But when you are the people of G-d or you support the people of G-d, you are on the right team.
