WhatsappIn a nutshell, yes. Biden just plainly said that he is proud that he made sure the money kept flowing to Iran. That is exactly what has funded a major part of the terror that Israel is experiencing today. And yes, Joe Biden is proud of his contribution to the terror attacks on the State of Israel. He is hoping that this will endear him with Michigan voters, many of whom are Arabs who hate Jews, who he hopes will come out and vote Democrat.

But Joe Biden and the entire Democrat Party are learning what Europe has been learning the hard way. Arabs tend to not assimilate as do so many other immigrants in the United States. They tend to retain their habits, biases and religious beliefs for decades after they have left the countries that they came from. This is not inherently a problem. But the anti-Israel attitudes of so many of the Rashida Tlaib supporters in Michigan is most certainly a major problem.
Joe Biden and other Democrats know that Michigan’s leanings are probably the most important indicator of the rust-belt mindset. If Michigan goes Republican, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania may also. If Trump wins these three States, he almost definitely will have a lock on the nomination.
The old guard of the Democrat Party, symbolized by Biden, is caught in a bind on their policies vis-a-vis the State of Israel. On the one hand, they have a history of being squarely Zionist and pro-Israel. Harry Truman, JFK and Bobby Kennedy were pro-Israel. On the other hand, they are stuck in a party who’s young voters now view accusing Israel of being genocidal as a very stylish opinion. The woke mindset equates being pro-LGBTQ and pro-Hamas as a reasonable idea. Basically the woke norms are completely unreasonable and have nothing to do with logic.
So the Democrat Party really has no comfort zone. They must speak with both sides of their mouth and hope that people will ignore the side they detest and just hear the side they support. This tends to backfire. An enormous number of Arabs in Michigan will probably sit out this election. They hate Donald Trump’s pro-Israel record and don’t trust Joe Biden for supplying Israel with weapons and supporting Israel in the first months of the war.
There is only one hope for Democrats to win over the Arab vote – Kamala Harris. There is no reason for any Israel-hater to not vote for Kamala Harris. She has never said one thing that supports Israel’s right to hit back hard, yet she expresses understanding and sympathy for the Israel-haters who claim that Israel is a genocidal country. She is the pro-woke candidate who supported the violence of the Black Lives Matter movement, and she is the pro-Arab Vice President who has no problem accusing Israel as being the aggressor.
This election presents the most clear reason for a pro-Israel voter to not vote Democrat. Joe Biden may only be operating on 70-80% of his regular capacity. But he is still responsible for opening up the spigots to the Ayatollahs and their proxies who attack Israel every day.
