When Donald Trump decided to appoint Michael Walz as his future National Security Advisor, he chose a clear-headed straight shooter who knows the score on Israel. What he said in that short one-minute analysis shows so much about why the Trump White House policies will be so different than the Biden and Obama White House policies.

First off, the respect for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a complete turnaround from the disrespect that Barack Obama and the Biden administration have shown. Secondly, the understanding that what works to stem the tide of terror against Israel is both a firm hand in fighting back terrorists and the resolve to stop the flow of funding from Iran are both critical in the fight against Israel’s enemies.
If there is one thing that Donald Trump understands about foreign affairs, it is the use of financial sanctions as a weapon of foreign policy. Without the billions of dollars of “aid” that the US allowed to flow from Iran into Hizbullah and Hamas, the ability to build a massive underground terror and missile network would not have been doable. If the incoming Trump administration puts the squeeze on the funding sources, then the terror will be limited to minor outbursts.
The future looks bright – if indeed the policies of the incoming administration will be followed through with actions and not mere pronouncements of support.
