Teaching children to be proud of their Judaism is certainly an important part of raising children in a society that is filled with a large mix of people of all kinds of backgrounds. However, it is becoming increasingly more difficult for children to be proud of their Judaism as the Jewish people are under a relentless attack for doing terrible things. No young child will have any clue how to deal with other classmates who accuse his people of being killers. He will simply either hate those children or hate his own heritage. It is a no-win situation, and it is becoming more and more commonplace in the Western world.
FEDERAL REPORT: There's a rise in Jew-hate in schools.

"A 6-year-old child's teacher told her she was 'half human' because one of her parents was Jewish."
Our government will spend money on "reports" but nothing on protecting our children.

One can fool oneself into thinking that we need to teach 7, 8, and 9 year old children the facts about the Arab-Israeli conflict in order to combat this phenomenon. But that will not go very far. No matter how bright the children may be, they will not be able to comprehend the nuances, nor the root causes of why other children seem to hate them at such a tender age.
They will naturally tend to think that there must be something wrong with the Jewish people. Naturally, they will run away from identifying with their Jewish heritage in order to not be part of a people who are accused of doing such terrible things.
The only true solution for young people – and yes this is controversial – is to not live among any group of a significant number of antisemites. Any other option will simply prove untenable. When antisemitism rises, it must be confronted – but not by young children. They must be spared and raised in a safe society that allows them to grow and mature without being attacked by a litany of antisemitic lies that permeate their surroundings.
