Everyone old enough remembers that horrifying day of September 1, 2001. The images and footage of the planes crashing into the Twin Towers. The scenes of people jumping from the burning buildings. The crashing down. The smoke. The heroes who ran into the terror to save lives instead of running away from it. All of this is etched into our minds forever.
Many of us don’t think about 9/11 every single day of our lives. But for those families who are still waiting for the remains of their loved ones, they don’t forget. Some of us might not have even realized that many people who were murdered in the 9/11 attacks have still not been identified. But there are those who continuously are working to help bring closure to the families.
May we pray to live in a world where there is no such thing as terrorist attacks anymore. Let’s pray that the redemption is just around the corner and that before we know it, it’ll be here.
