According to reports the US is pulling all non-essential staff from its military bases in Iraq as it prepares for a potential retaliation if President Trump orders an air strike on Iran’s nuclear sites.

In a briefing to the Sentate today, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth confirmed that Iran was planning on building a nuclear weapon. “There are many indications that Iran is moving toward what appears to be a nuclear weapon,” Hegseth said.

According to an interview released on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump said he has grown less confident that Iran would agree to stop uranium enrichment in a nuclear deal with the US

“I don’t know,” Trump told the “Pod Force One” podcast on Monday when asked if he thought he could get Iran to agree to shut down its nuclear program. “I don’t know. I did think so, and I’m getting more and more — less confident about it.”

So does that mean war with Iran imminent? By the looks of the movement in military hardware into the region - war may be inevitable.
