On nearly every high precipice across the State of Israel, a tour guide will say something like, “on a clear day, you can see the Hermon Mountain range from here.”
Despite all of the focus over the last year on Gaza and Lebanon, Israel’s dominance over the greater mountain range in the Hermon is of no less military significance than nearly any other spot in Israel’s vicinity.
