When the Arab World Thought it Was Over for the Jewish State
From the outside, the Arab world seemed much stronger in the 1967 War. They had more people, more weapons, more tanks, more planes—they had more of everything. But if you just take a look at history, we know that there were many times where the Jewish people were outnumbered and seemed weak. But G-d has protected His people throughout all of history. And even when it seemed like it was over for the Jews, it never was. Miraculously, the Jewish people have won wars that seemed militarily impossible.
The world is in G-d’s hands. We must never give in to despair. We must know that the One Above has a plan. The Arab world tends to celebrate prematurely. They still haven’t learned that G-d will not let His people be destroyed. Look at history from even the times of the Bible. Look at King David and the giant Goliath. Things are not always as they seem. The strong and mighty looking people are nothing if G-d is not on their side.
Where is the Great Roman empire? Gone. Why? Because that’s how G-d intended it to be. It doesn’t matter that they were known to be great and mighty. They’re nothing now. And the tiny Jewish people? Still here. Strong. Faithful to G-d. Why? Because that’s how G-d intended it to be.
So to the Jewish people’s enemies: When will you learn? G-d doesn’t want the Jewish people to be destroyed. And so they won’t be.
