Israel struck the Yemen port of Hodeida yesterday for the second time since Iran launched its multi-front war against the Jewish State.
The Israeli air force took out oil facilities in the port and “sensitive” Houthi facilities in the area. The Hodeida port is known to be a key transfer point for Iranian weapons’ transfers to the Houthis. Israel’s strike was said to be launched due to the multiple ballistic missiles shot at Israel in the last few days. According to reports, Israel worked in coordination with the US on the strike. The US has raised its forces’ readiness in the region.
“Should Iran, its partners, or its proxies use this moment to target American personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take every necessary measure to defend our people,” Austin said according to a statement by Pentagon press secretary Major General Pat Ryder.
More important than the physical damage is the message the long range strike sends to Iran – Israel can indeed strike anywhere it wants in the Middle East, even in Iran.
With Israel set to take out Hezbollah once and for all, the Iranian head of the snake is about to come into the sights of the IAF…very very soon.
