Ben Shapiro is not the most charismatic speaker and not a person that everybody feels they can relate to. He is the genius of the class that lots of people cannot relate to and would be happy to have as their private doctor or attorney. So why has his podcast become so popular and his Daily Wire show so enormously powerful? Because he speaks the truth without holding back any punches – even when he is wrong.
Of course, everyone will claim that they are speaking the truth. But most people can perceive the difference between those who profess to speak the truth and those who truly do speak their minds as they see the truth – without bias and emotion.
An example of this is Ben Shapiro’s willingness to say that in 2016 he did not vote for Hillary Clinton nor for Donald Trump. But then, not in an about face, but in an admission of error in judgement, he claimed that he should have voted for Donald Trump – based on Trump’s performance in his 1st term. This was no full-throat agreement with everything about the Trump administration. It was an admission that Shapiro made that he had underestimated the ability of governance of Donald Trump. Shapiro – the know-it-all professed that he had erred.
It is so fitting for Ben Shapiro to be a headline speaker at the Turning Point Conference as Charlie Kirk stood for exactly the same thing that Ben Shapiro stood for – the facts and the truth. Yes, they may not agree on everything, but they certainly both respect each other’s conclusions as being entirely fact-based.
That is what Shapiro was taking aim at in this speech. There are clearly those in the Republican Party who are letting their personal biases dominate their political discourse. They are throwing facts to the side and portraying the obviously evil people as reasonable people doing understandable things. It is just a matter of time till all of the graft that is dominating college campuses becomes known to all and the deals that Tucker Carlson has struck with the Qataris and other Gulf nations looking to improve their image will become an established fact. Right now, it is a strong suspicion. Soon, it will become established fact.
The question is whether or not the damage that will be done to the Republican Party by the grifters and biased spokesmen will first lead to such a schism in the Republican Party that the Democrats will take over the Executive Branch.
