You don’t need to understand Hebrew to see how respected this IDF unit is. The Golani unit has done so much for the Jewish state (as have all the various IDF soldiers and units). Listen to the tone of the music and watch the footage. These soldiers are so loved. They are so respected. And the Jewish people are so grateful for their courage and bravery. There is a reason Israeli musician Yehoram Gaon is singing about the Golani brigade!
In some other countries of the world, people fear their soldiers. Soldiers indicate something negative. Like in Iran and other places. But in Israel, the people love the IDF soldiers. We pray for them. We pay for their restaurant bills to show our gratitude. The Jewish people cook for them and show our love for them. They are our brothers and sisters—literally and figuratively.
There is something truly special about the way we treat and respect our soldiers. They put their lives on the line for us. They sacrifice literally everything to defend the Jewish people and the Jewish state. And tragically, these holy IDF soldiers sometimes pay with their lives for the safety of the Jewish nation. We will forever cherish them, love them, sing for them, and pray for them.
