This was about her belief that the Jewish people don’t belong in their homeland. This was about her belief that the Jewish people don’t belong at all. How disgusting of her to claim the Jewish nation should go back to Germany where 6 million Jews were slaughtered.
But Rabbi David Nesenoff used this as an opportunity to share a message. And the message is timeless. We are G-d’s children and G-d gave us the land of Israel. We are called the children of Israel. No one can take this relationship away from us. It’s forever. The Jewish people need to know this, and the world needs to know this. And the way the fight against antisemitism is by fighting the spiritual war and acting more Jewish—following G-d’s ways, keeping more commandments. What a beautiful message!
