The IDF, under the leadership of the Northern Command and with the involvement of the Air Force, struck terrorist infrastructure and several weapons depots belonging to Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in southern Lebanon.

The Hezbollah terrorist organization continues to reconstruct terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon, with a focus on restoring the unit’s capabilities to launch attacks against the State of Israel. Before the strikes, measures were implemented to mitigate civilian harm, including population evacuations, the deployment of precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and supplementary intelligence data.

The targeted depots were situated in the midst of civilian areas, serving as yet another instance of Hezbollah’s cynical exploitation of Lebanese civilians as human shields for its activities conducted from residential properties.

IDF officers told reporters, “We are continuing the same approach in Lebanon of aggressive enforcement. There has been no change in the policy of the past year. This is a continuation of the ongoing effort to prevent Hezbollah’s reconstruction, not an escalation of the situation.”

The existence of this terrorist infrastructure and the weapons struck represented a breach of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon, while also endangering local residents.

Israel is preparing for a response by Hezbollah.
